This love story starts at Little Woodrows, where two Rice University MBA students met for the first time. As fate would have it, they had been assigned to the same “core team”. Was it love at first sight? “My first impression of Brian was that he was uptight and too serious,” recalls Mary. “The first story he told me was that he had canceled a trip to see the World Cup in South Africa to prepare for school! What an awful decision!” Luckily for Brian that first impression didn’t last long. One semester later, they were dating. And the rest is history.
When I think about downtown Houston wedding photography, the Petroleum Club of Houston is the first venue that comes to mind. Poised on the 43rd floor of the ExxonMobil building, it is simply a photographer’s dream. The sweeping panoramic views of Houston at night are breathtaking.
There are so many things I loved about this wedding. The dashing groom, the elegant bride — I can’t say enough about these two wonderful human beings. And that whole “Bridesmaids” move poster we re-created (at the chapel)? Not my idea. That came from one of Mary’s bridesmaids. Such an awesomely fun group of girls! I loved their creativity. Working with them was pure joy.
Needless to say, this was one of my favorite weddings of 2013. Enjoy!
Congratulations Mary and Brian. Thank you for inviting me to document your special day. And thanks for the delicious bubble tea!
